About the Photographer
Ian Adams is an environmental photographer based in Cuyahoga
Falls, Ohio, specializing in natural, rural, historical
and garden photography. Since 1985, more than 4,500 of
his color
photographs have been published in books, posters, calendars,
magazines and other publications. Ian’s Wild & Scenic
Ohio and Ohio Places calendars are in their 18th and
14th years, respectively. Each year Ian drives more than
15,000
miles in 20 to 25 states in search of new images of gardens,
natural areas, historic barns and mills, covered bridges,
lighthouses, fishing villages, rural scenes and historic
sites for use in book projects, calendars, posters and
postcards. America’s natural, rural, and historical heritage
is fragile,
and Ian hopes that his photographs can serve as a legacy
to help create a better awareness of these irreplaceable
resources for future generations.
